Fritz Crisler Era Michigan Offense

Some film and Clips from Fritz Crisler's time in Michigan running the Single-Wing offense. Coach Crisler's influence on the game of football can still be seen today in many ways, and acts as a major tie from the early days of football to the modern era. He played under Coach Amos Alonzo Stagg at U Chicago. He brought the distinctive winged helmet which people associate with the University of Michigan football team to Ann Arbor. His offense and schemes were expanded upon by a protégé, Coach Tubby Raymond. Raymond moved the schemes from the single-wing into his Delaware Wing-T to bring National championships to the Blue Hen's as Crisler brought them to Michigan. He also took the Winged helmet design to Delaware as well. The 1947 Michigan football team known as the "Mad Magicians," still impact football to this day as seen in Super Bowl LIV where the Kansas City Chiefs running a play they took from the Michigan's 1949 Rose Bowl victory over USC.
