Vince Lombardi is one of the first names people think of when it not only comes to the NFL, but also football coaching in general. A detailed teacher and leader of men, Lombardi was known for his no nonsense demeanor, commitment to building a tough well coached team a detail that no doubt goes back to his time as a player at Fordham, his time as a high school coach and teacher, and then his time at Army.
The Brooklyn native was known for his attention to detail and knowledge and that is shown in the video series below. There are 12 videos covering everything you can think of from a football perspective from scheme to positional drills and teaching. There were 12 videos in the series with over 5 hours of Coach Lombardi going over details of his offense defense and skills for each position group.
Below are the videos mentioned from Coach D's YouTube account which a great subscription. As I watched these videos it got me thinking which Coaches throughout history do you wish there was a clinic series filmed in this manner from? My first thought always goes back to Bill Walsh's meeting videos would love to see those and his approach to teaching and coaching.
